Juggling two blogs has been way too complicated. But don’t worry–I’m not completely leaving the community!

What I’m saying is, I won’t be using this blog anymore. I’m still gonna leave it up on the web, so you can still look back at old posts. But you HAVE to go follow my other blog, Flourishing by Restful Falls. Because I’ll post doll blogs over there (along with FBRF‘s posts)!

And FBRF followed all the doll blogs DollDIYs followed so I can still read all the awesome blog posts I couldn’t live without :).

I’ll be posting about the AG store in Boston over there in a week or two. So if you wanna see that you better go follow my other blog!

Thanks for all your support over here, on DollDIYs.

See you over at Flourishing by Restful Falls! Really–go follow it, now.

Merry Christmas!

Hi everyone,
Wow, is it really Christmas? That means my birthday is in 5 days! 2014 has flown by so quickly. (At least that’s how I feel.)

Here are all the doll presents from my sisters and parents. They all are so cute, many of them are homemade, even the boxes. And I love them so much! The biggest gift I got was supplies for making my dollhouse! My dad gave it to me. I am so happy because I have been wanting to make one ever since I moved (8 months ago). What an awesome way to do DIYs, right along with your amazing dad. Thank You!

I hope the rest of your Christmas is merry. 🙂
Merry Christmas everybody.

Me and Hayley’s doll

Hi everyone!

(Hayley told me I had to say that.)

My name is Bixby; I’m Hayley’s puppy. I am a two-year old, black Labradoodle. I really love to be hugged and petted. Oh and Hayley says I’m a good writer. I think that is what I want to be when I grow up!

So I want to tell you a story of Hayley’s doll, Emily, and me. After Hayley’s family rescued me, I discovered she kept creepy mini humans (she calls them american dolls or something), and her mommy seemed totally fine with it! Well I’m warming up to them, so they’re not so creepy anymore. (It helped that they gave me treats from their tiny hands.) So here is my story:

I was sitting on the step, just chillin’ in the sun and lettin’ my hair blow. Thinkin’ about the smell of Hayley’s lunch today, I was hoping I’d get a few leftovers with my dinner. Then… Hayley came out with her American Doll, or whatever it is, and her camera. (That’s what she calls that black box with a strap that makes a click noise when she points it at me and clicks a button.) I thought she was going to pet me, but instead she set her doll down against me and snapped a lot of pictures.

For the first one she took, I was upset at Hayley for not petting me so I was ignoring her…

But I couldn’t stand not paying attention to Emily, because she smelled like cupcakes!

I was trying to figure out what she had gotten into, and guess what I found?! There was a trace of orange cake with chocolate icing on her shoulder!

THEN the wierd elf-like human was moving! I nearly had a heart attack! But I noticed pretty quickly she was just falling, I kinda… forgot she wasn’t alive….

Then, with a kiss, I told Hayley I was sorry for ruining her pictures and ignoring her. 🙂 She loves me…….

I hope you guys liked my writing. 🙂 🙂 🙂 🙂 🙂 🙂 🙂 🙂 🙂 Hayley just taught me how to do that smile, so I had to do a lot.

Thank you Hayley for letting me post on your site. 🙂 Bye 🙂

18″ doll composition notebook

Hi Everyone,

Today I will be doing yet another simple craft:

a composition notebook for your 18″ doll.

The things you will need:

*Piece of card stock

*Lined paper

I am using a 2.5” by 3.5″ piece of card stock. I cut it in half, using a ruler.

Then trace that piece onto the lined paper. I made two, but you can do more.

Once that is done, you will be decorating the front.

First, I made a box right in the middle.

Now you will be doing the squiggly design with a sharpie.

Squiggle it all around the front and, if you would like, the back.

Put all the pages together, and staple it two times as close to the line as possible.

I colored over the staples with the sharpie and wrote ‘Math’ in the box.

Now you are done your doll composition book.

Happy Crafting.

Thanks for reading and come back for more!

18″ doll lunchbox

Hi Everyone,

Today I will be showing your how to make a lunchbox for you 18″ doll. The supplies you will be needing to make this are:

*Colored Pencils

*Glue Stick

*Altoids container or tin

First you’re going to trace your tin shape onto your paper,

and draw another one the same way.

Now you are going to cut out your shape

Now you will be gluing the pieces to the front and the back.

Now it should look like this!

You’re getting closer! The next step is optional. I cut paper and taped it to the side

just to make it look a little sharper.

Now you will be taping on your ribbon. Then decorate.

And there you’ve got your 18″ lunchbox! Happy Crafting.

Thanks for reading, come back for some more!
